Job description
Temperature (an abiotic stress factor) affects human health. Global warming has sparked new interest in the weather-health relation. Epidemiological studies found associations between mean daily outdoor temperature and mortality in population. The effects of temperature as a trigger on different endpoints such as myocardial infarction and preterm birth are subject of the thesis with a strong focus on the shape of the association.
Profile and diploma
Candidates have a master of biostatistics, statistics, biology, biomedical sciences or medicine.
